Confession time. I’m feeling super guilty for not even mentioning Earth Day, which was last Sunday. So today I am backtracking a bit so I can do my part to honor and build awareness of the Earth’s natural environment.

I believe every one of us should be taking steps in our own lives to preserve Mother Nature, be that recycling, carpooling…not littering (it’s such a shame I still have to mention that one). As of late, we can even include shopping on our list of eco-friendly activities, as more and more designers are adding sustainable clothing lines to their collections. And here I thought shopping couldn’t get any better!

This month, H&M launched their Conscious Collection, and I have to tell you, it’s pretty amazing. They’ve included everything: tops, jackets, pants, shorts, dresses, skirts, and gowns. Yes, you ready that right. GOWNS! Going green has never been so GLAM! With so much to choose from, my wallet is definitely going to get work out. It’s ok though. It’s for the environment.

So, what makes these gorgeous pieces sustainable? Everything from the fabrics (chemical-free organic cotton, Tencel and recycled polyester), to the manufacturing and transport of the clothes has been carried out with sustainability as a priority.
