Since summer is so close we can practically taste it, today we’re talking swimsuits. I’m loving my new suit from Eco Swim by Aqua Green, not just because of its peppy colors and flattering, skirted bottoms, but because of the story behind the suit. It’s made from recycled materials, right here in the U.S., which really takes the idea of feeling good in my bikini to a whole new level. Being eco-chic isn’t jut hot, it’s haute (sorry, I couldn’t resist).

In fact, the entire Eco Swim line is made using sustainable materials. The company’s business plan is built around the motto “reduce your carbon footprint in the sand,” and that motto is carried out beyond just the manufacturing of their suits. Eco Swim by Aqua green is very philanthropically-focused in their community, and they frequently participate in beach and waterway clean-up efforts. I always find deep satisfaction in supporting companies whose focus extends beyond the bottom line. It may be the best motivation to get into a bikini that I’ve experienced yet!
Many of Eco Swim’s suits are modest and classic– perfect if you’re not quite comfortable with baring it all on the beach. Other’s come in sexy silhouettes with on-trend details if you’re more the sort to strut your stuff.
The line can be found at stores like Nordstrom, Macy’s and Everything But Water. You can find a complete store listing here.
