{A vintage heirloom cultured pearl and gold ring is shiny and perfect again, thanks to the best jeweler I know, Eric, from Michael’s Creative Jewelry in Phoenix. It’s a beautiful keepsake of Bev’s, and every time I wear it, I will think of her.}
As we enter full-on summer mode, I can’t help but wonder where on earth the time has gone. This year is flying by. I mean, wasn’t Christmas like last week? The realization gives me more and more incentive to savor the unique joys of each and every season. This week, that has meant soaking up the sun, hitting up garage and estate sales, planting herbs and flowers, delighting in summer’s most bountiful gifts. I’m looking forward to a weekend of more of the same, and quite frankly, I can’t think of any better way to spend it. Here are some more little things that made me happy this week…
{The beginning stages of my beautiful outdoor space. Some cilantro, green onions and mint, along with a rose bush, some succulents and a “black-eyed susan” vine make for a pretty good start. Most of my pots were collected from garage sales, since they come with just the right amount of patina. That copper tea kettle was also a score– $2! Soon it will be filled with something leafy and flowery.}
{And the gardening didn’t stop there. A large flea market sea shell is the perfect planter for some small succulents. It found itself the perfect home in my bathroom!}
{An old iron bed, snagged for a bargain at the Vintage Market last weekend. Complete with turned posts, caning, and an emblem, this one’s a charmer.}
{And last but not least, watermelon-infused water was quite refreshing during hot afternoons, and leftover slices were a perfect snack.}

i love the pearl ring! such a sweet thing to have jewelry passed on. glad i stopped by your blog!
