{A new jute kitchen rug, so soft even Belle approves. And she’s a tough critic.}
Happy Friday Fab Housewives! This week, the hubs and I have made lots of progress getting settled into our new home. I’ve finally come to terms with the fact that this is not an overnight process. In fact, it may {and should} take weeks, even months. When it comes to creating your living space, decisions shouldn’t be made in a rush attempt to be done with it. In fact, the most comfortable homes are well thought-out. Sometimes you need to live in a space for a while before you can figure out how everything is supposed to flow.
Life in general has slowed down substantially. It’s definitely a change, but I like it! I’m finding more time to take care of myself, to spend time with friends, to nurture my passions, and to develop new ones. Here are some of the things that I’m loving this week.
{Celebrating little O’s 2nd birthday with an Itsy Bitsy Spider-themed party. O’s mom, Kate, made the sweetest cake with marshmallow fondant icing.}
{Simple linear organization in my china cabinet makes our dining room feel personal and warm, yet clean, balanced and tidy.}
{How beautiful would these alphabet illustrations by Rebekka Seale look in a nursery or playroom? Filing this away for another day.}
{Blueberries, pumpkin and flax seeds give tons of vitamins and energy without weighing you down. What a great way to kickoff the weekend!}
