Happy Friday to all you amazing, wonderful, talented, beautiful, FABULOUS HOUSEWIVES! I’m feeling good today because I’ve had a great week. Lots accomplished, and so much fun to look forward to! But before I get into all my exciting plans for the weekend, I have to share two of the highlights of my week, since that’s what Friday Favs are all about, after all:

First off, last weekend the hubs and I participated the MDA Muscle Walk…

in Studio City along with the rest of The Gores Group team, where I work part-time. MDA holds walks like these all over the country to raise money for kids and adults served by the Muscular Dystrophy Association. This cause is so close to our hearts ever since the hubs’ cousin, Brady, was diagnosed with Duchenne’s Muscular Dystrophy as a little boy.

Brady is such an inspiration to all of us because he is always just a fountain of hope and positivity, despite his daily struggles. He was recently named the 2011 Student of the Year for Individuals with a Disability by the City of Scottsdale.   This honor is given annually to the student who displays courage and perseverance in the face of adversity.Brady Student of the Year individual with Disability

The hubs and I were proud to walk in Brady’s honor, and we were so inspired by all the families and individuals who were also out there supporting this amazing cause.

Second, the hubs and I celebrated Fab Housewife achieving a page rank of 2…

Ever since the hubs hopped on board with optimizing and growing the blog, things have grown exponentially. We’re didn’t double our traffic, or even triple or quadruple. We have increased readership here at Fab Housewife by over 10 TIMES in a matter of months! Granted, our page rank is 2…out of 10, so we have a looooooong way to go. But I think it’s so important to celebrate the small milestones “on the way to greatness,” as the hubs says. Salted Caramel Hot Chocolate | Recipes | Friday Favs

We toasted our achievement this week with Salted Caramel Hot Chocolates, using my homemade caramel. Um…FAB! Celebrations like this are important because the road to greatness is long. Enjoying all the little achievements keeps you focused and makes the journey a lot of fun.

As for this weekend…

the hubs and I are headed to Encinitas, California to celebrate the birthday of one of my dearest friends.

Sunshine, ocean breeze, good food (and most likely wine), and the company of two of our very favorite people…what more could a girl ask for? I hope you all enjoy your weekends, and that you take some time to relax and savor the little things that make it special!
