Happy Friday, once again! I know I say it every Friday, but this weekend can’t come soon enough. It’s the first the hubs and I have had in weeks that doesn’t entail packing, planning, and unpacking. While I thrive off a busy life, every now and then a girl just needs to chill, am I right? With design school in full-swing, I’ve realized I’ve been very lax in my weekly blog updates. So on the fabulous Friday, rather than show the highlights of my week, I’d like to share the highlights of the past several weeks {I can’t believe it’s been so long}. Here’s what’s been keeping my life full, and my fingers far from my keyboard…
3 days a week I head to downtown L.A. for classes at FIDM. I’m learning everything from sketching, to technical drawing, color theory, and history of architecture and interior design. I’m so in my element, and loving every minute!
A family vacation to Arizona’s White Mountains gave the hubs and I time to cool off, play with our little nieces, and spend quality time with his siblings and parents.
Light summer berry cupcakes were a sweet mid-day indulgence. To make these, I dalloped on this fluffy whipped cream icing, from Martha Stewart.
And the ultimate highlight…getting to be a part of one of dearest friend’s wedding at Cuvier Park in La Jolla, California.
Every detail was exquisite! Nothing beats watching someone you love marry the most perfect person for them.
I hope you all have a wonderful weekend! Until Monday…
