Nearly eight years ago, I met my husband…just over a year ago we were married…and after all that time, I am thrilled to say, the man STILL gives me flutter-flops (you know, that feeling in your tummy when you’re excited and anxious- when you have butterflies and your stomach is doing flip-flops at the same time)!!! It’s a wonderful feeling knowing you married that perfect person for you.Long Distance Relationship
Today he comes home from working all week in Connecticut. He’s only been gone since Sunday night (but it still feels like forever to me), and over the past few days I have been thinking of him and of our relationship, and how amazing it is that we can make it work. No doubt, the long-distance can make things rough, and I’m beginning to believe we are definitely the exception to the rule. But there are some positives to our plight, as much as I hate to admit it. Because we are both able to focus so much on our own projects and goals, we are able to devote 100 percent of our attention to each other when he’s home. It may actually be healthy, and it’s certainly keeping the excitement alive!

So glad you still get that feeling. It can be done- but I know from experience how hard it is when you are apart for so long. My husband is gone a lot for work throughout the year and in the summer he is gone for a month-6 weeks.
It definitely makes you love each other more and so excited and happy when you are together.
I am so happy for you that you found your true love and that even after so long- the magic is alive and kicking!!
