T-minus 3 days until the big move, which means I’ve already started the redecorating process in my head. First purchase for the new digs: a white leather sectional.
We picked our couch for a number of reasons:
White: Because I’m obsessed with white couches and have always wanted one. I figure once we have kids, a white couch won’t be an option, so I’m jumping on the opportunity.
Leather: Doggy paw prints have no place in my new decor. Since we can’t keep our little Belle off the sofa, no matter how hard we try, the most practical option for us is leather since it easily wipes clean.
Sectional: There’s no room for cuddling on our current cramped sofa, but that won’t be a problem with the new one. Our guests will also have more room to relax, although I must admit that aspect didn’t play nearly as big a factor in our decision-making as the cuddling part did.
The new couch won’t be arriving for a few weeks, but I’m already exploring all my new decorating options. A white couch is like a blank canvas, and I plan to create a masterpiece!

White couches look great for the picture, but not so practical in real life if you have kids (or nieces actually – mine drew a nice blue biro line on my brand new, two thousand quid sofa. Luckily it’s brown but still, not nice!
