All work and no play has made this housewife very thirsty. I’m craving something light, crisp, and sweet…anything that encapsulates the essence of summer, which seems to be slowly slipping away. So cheers to the weekend, to taking a breather from hectic schedules, and to savoring the handful of warm summer evenings remaining this year.
From left to right:
1) Straight from my own kitchen, this SPARKLY LAMBRUSCO stays chilled, but not diluted, thanks to frozen grapes. Sweet, bubbly, and light, it’s hard to believe the Italian import is just 5 bucks at Trader Joe’s.
2) To make these FIZZY SORBETS via Women’s Day, simply scoop combinations of sorbets like coconut, peach, and hibiscus, then top them off with chilled white wine or champagne. I can’t decide if this is a cocktail or a dessert. Then again, who really cares? I’ll take two!
3) Along the same lines, some frozen FRUIT POPS get fancified with a splash of PROSECCO, via Southern Living. It’s like being a kid again, but while still enjoying the perks of adulthood.
4) The ROSE + LIME COCKTAIL may be one of the girliest drinks I’ve ever seen {via Ashes of Laugher}, which means I must try it as soon as possible. It’s made by combining vodka, rose water, honey, lime juice, & strawberry. Delish!
