The romantic, watercolor-look of ombre is one of the hottest trends in weddings right now. When soft, pale hues gradually progress into full, vibrant shades, it brings an unexpected drama to the overall look and feel of your day.

My favorite aspect of the ombre trend is that you have complete control over the palette and intensity. On one hand, you could opt for something rich and bold and unconventional, like tangerine orange and sunburst yellow. Or, you could choose to keep your ombre subtle, in traditional creams, roses, and lavenders.

If you’re still not sure how the ombre trend could fit in with your wedding style, here are some ideas…

Each member of your bridal party is unique. Varying dress styles and shades of the same general color allows them to express that, while still maintaing continuity.

The florals are my favorite way to carry out ombre, hands down. You could choose to carry an ombre bouquet {or have your maids carry them}, then continue the look into the reception with centerpieces. Just be careful not to go too overboard. A dramatic look like this is best complimented by simple accessories.

The cake is probably the most popular translation of the ombre trend in weddings- likely because they literally look like works of art. What a perfectly memorable ending to your amazing day!

How would you incorporate ombre details in your own wedding?
