I’m not sure if it’s the unseasonably chilly morning, or the craziness of the holiday week, but all I want to do on this Friday is…absolutely nothing. The thought of burying my head beneath my covers and hybernating until I’m fully rested has me craving a bedroom makeover. Specifically, one just like this, created by interior design duo extraordinaires Ali and Ariana of The Elegant Abode.
These girls have discovered the key to making neutrals anything but boring: texture. From linen to cable-knit, sequins to sateen, the layered look is tailored and glamorous, without feeling overly stuffy. I just want collapse into the vintage-wash Restoration Hardware sheeting and sleep for a week! Even a vintage cupboard gets some textural intrigue thanks to a simple coat of primer. The result is warm, cozy, elegant.
