cosmopolitan hotel las vegas stripFor the past several days, I have been glamming it up in Sin City, visiting the husband while on location for work. It’s been years since I’ve been to Vegas, so we had a lot of catching up to do (I hadn’t even seen the completed Encore hotel yet). And after all was said and done, between the new Strip hotels, and the highly publicized and very expensive, City Center, I have to say the addition that impressed me the most, was no doubt, the Cosmopolitan Hotel.

Perhaps it’s the Marilyn in me, but nothing says “luxury getaway” quite like crystals dripping from every surface and ceiling of the Cosmopolitan. Unabashed guadiness aside (it is Vegas, after all), I did find lots of modern-glam decor inspiration in the upholstery and color scheme.

It’s hard to tell from this image, but I loved the contrasting arm chairs and tufted booths at the Vesper Bar in the lobby.

And don’t even get me started on the the Christian Louboutin stiletto sculptures inside the Cosmopolitan hallways…cosmopolitan hotel big red shoe

With weekend rates ranging from $400 and $500 a night (based on stays in March), the Cosmopolitan hotel is definitely not a bargain, but if you can afford it, the experience is worth the expense. If not, be sure to take a stroll through the hotel next time you’re in Vegas, or dine at one of their fantastic restaurants (we LOVED Holsteins, the burger and milkshake joint!). I promise, you won’t regret it!

Last, but not least, a striking welcome mat was created in the form of marble and granite…definitely the most impressive I’ve seen in Vegas!
