Rome is the capital of Italy, it’s filled with 2,ooo year-old ruins, and is home to some of the world’s most famous masterpieces. It was also the second stop on the hub’s my epic 2nd honeymoon.
It’s pretty much impossible to visit Rome and not get lost in the wonder of it. The first evening we arrived, the hubs and I raced from the metro station and through the streets, taking in as much as we possibly could before the sun set. The Spanish Steps, the capitol building, and the Pantheon…oh the Pantheon!! When I rounded the corner and caught my first glimpse of the ancient Temple of the Gods…the Pantheon…it literally took my breath away! At the end of the evening, hubs and I barely found our way back to our hotel, and to be honest, we really didn’t even care if we got lost.
Of course, I took A TON of pictures. Here are a few of my favorites.

The Food

Grilled vegetable appetizer. AH-mazing!

I’ve never had pizza like this before. Italian sausage and mushroom, delish!

This was my favorite pasta in all of Italy- Buccatini with spicy tomato and bacon sauce. I have big plans for recreating it and sharing the recipe with you all, of course!
